The Human Cost: How KCS Uses Sexuality to Silence Parents

The Total Absence of Due Process: 

Parents need to know that Knox County Schools had no constitutional grievance process or procedure whatsoever since the school system's inception. They could say what they wanted, make up lies, and you had no way of challenging them. They had been doing this since the school's inception until they brought that foolishness to me.

The Sacred Bond: 

As communicated to the district via email and conversations for over a decade, "the emotional, social, spiritual, relational, and religious and family boundaries do not change when they come into Knox County Schools. It's not do as you please."

Weapons of Administration: 

Knox County Schools and its security division use sexuality as a weapon to silence parents. Knox County Schools didn't like that I was a parent, a father, a dad, and a man of faith who understands the role and relationship of parents in the home and that those boundaries are deep and wide. This manipulative tactic is deliberately deployed amidst the "sexuality oversaturation movement" to paint normal parental oversight as a threat.

Innocent Bystanders: 

This fight is—and has always been—about the children. Our youngest kids were forced to grow up with an excluded father, enduring the trauma of watching security officers and administrators target their dad while they were in Kindergarten and First Grade. The older children were able to have their dad participate in all their school activities until the school system retaliated and turned against this family.

As our children return to Knox County Schools, the district's actions continue to disrupt their foundational friendships and developmental milestones, forcing families to carry the burden of an unconstitutional, retaliatory dispute that leadership refuses to resolve honestly.
